BarryM Confetti Paint

Wednesday, 16 October 2013

You may of guessed already that I love BarryM. It's no secret really but I recently bought the new confetti nail paint they've released. I love a nail experiment and this lovely pastel pink is right up my street so it wasn't long before I started dreaming up colour combos...

It transfers onto the nail just as glitter varnish does and requires a base colour underneath. Now I played around for ages with different base colours and I wasn't overly impressed. The only ones that I might try again are the pink base (above) and the nude base (below). I don't know about you, but I'm just not that keen on the overall effect of this polish. I'm not really sure how I expected it to look as, to be fair, the contents of the bottle look exactly as they do on the nail, but I am definitely disappointed. I think it looks a bit of a mess really (even without the terribly painted nails below!) However, I have seen people use the other confetti colours available which have 2 colours in the bottle. This gives a much nicer effect (kind of like hundreds and thousands on a cupcake) So maybe I just bought the dud colour?
Also something to note is that 10 minutes later I've only managed to scrape it off one nail. This stuff is seriously stubborn, so once it's there, it's there for good! Not so great if you love changing your nails everyday or you have a chip-phobia (as most of us do!)

This is not my favourite BarryM paint by far, but it's a bit of fun. What do you think?

  1. I think it's cute, although I don't think I'd wear it myself. Great review, though!

  6. I have a green one and just use it on one nail as a statement on the top of the same colour varnish. I cant pull it off on all nails.
