Ok so just one more BarryM post...this one is on the glitter nail paints. I love a bit of glitter, like most, and these nail paints are the perfect way to sparkle-up A/W. The two shades here are 'Pink silver glitter' and 'Aqua glitter', both lovely colours although I was quite surprised by how different the paints were from one another in terms of texture and effect.
Pink Silver Glitter is my favourite out of the two (not surprisingly!) It provides a solid nail of small glittery pieces, giving a metallic look. It looks really lovely and has a texture when on the nail, but only very subtly. I love pairing it with the matte paint I reviewed earlier in the week, the two shades look great together and the combination of textures works really well. The only problem is it chips so easily! I had only applied it for a few hours when I noticed the colour had rubbed off on the ends of the nail.
I expected the Aqua Glitter to be like the previous paint but was quite surprised when I removed the brush from the bottle. The glitter pieces, as you can see, are much larger and much more like a standard glitter polish. I haven't used a base colour here and it really needs one. The pink created a very solid colour and I was expecting this from the aqua version but I think with a base, the glitter would look great. It's such a lovely colour, although more S/S I think as it would look just perfect with a tan.

Have you tried any glitter BarryM paints? What did you think of them?

  1. Love glitter nail varnishes from Barry M! Only problem I've had is they don't seem to last long before they turn gooey and the nail varnish is hard to get off!

    1. I know fi, they're absolutely impossible to get off! I bought a confetti one and it's the worst for that... Review to come :) x

  2. I haven't tried any Barry M polish yet.
I liked the first one more.
