Boots Sale Haul

Sunday, 5 January 2014

I've spent the day getting bits and pieces sorted for all the blog posts I've been planning. I only really get the chance to take photographs at the weekends as theres no time (or light) during the week because I work full time. This, (as i've mentioned before) has meant that I've neglected my blog a little but now I have some posts for the next few weeks.

Now, if you know me, you'll know that I love a bargain which means the January sales have to be my shopping heaven and I know many of you are the same! I've loved reading other blogs' posts of the goodies bought in the sales and I've been dying to share with you my own recent sale buys. I'm continuing the sale season with my first post...The Boots Sale Haul.

Everyone has heard about the Boots January sale. They sell such lovely gifts and reduce them all to half price after christmas meaning that we get the chance to grab our favourite brands at super-cheap prices. Woohoo!
So first up is the Poker Straight hair kit by Lee Stafford which was £8. I've tried lee stafford products before and absolutely love them so grabbed this kit of 3 full size products as well as a comb and some hair bands. You get a dry shampoo (which is amazing!!!) dehumidifier to stop that pesky frizz and a flat iron protection shine mist which I will be using as a general heat defence. The total cost for these products bought separately is £17.47, so for £8 it's an absolute steal!
Next is a style setter kit by Charles Worthington which was £6. I went for the textured updo kit which consists of 2 full-size products and a bun ring (perfect for my recently changed hair colour!). You get a volume and bounce texturising spray and a brush out strong hold hairspray which together are worth £12.98.
Ok, so I went a little mad on the hair products, oops! I also bought a James Brown photo fabulous kit. I've never tried any of his range before (if you have, pop a comment below and let me know what you think of it!) but this deal was far too good to miss! Again, all products are full-size and the intensive treatment alone is worth £8.49. You also get a volumising shampoo and conditioner and altogether the set is worth £22.47 and I payed just £7.50!! (These are still available online too)
Now I've been after some eye brushes for a while and soon realised that I would end up forking out more than i wanted for a set. This little kit cut my job in half as it includes 2 eye brushes: a defining brush and a blend and contour brush as well as 3 eyeshadows. The brushes normally sell for around £7 a pop so this kit for £6 was also a steal.
I received some lovely bath bits as christmas presents and have almost used all the salts already! This adorable glass jar was just £6 and comes with the cutest scoop! It'll be perfect for storing future salts when these are all used up too. Oh, and also they smell aaaaamazing! Fig and pink pepper is an odd flavour but it's just perfect.

Lastly I bought these bath cubes which smell a bit overpowering while they're all together but I can imagine they will be lovely when actually used. They were just £2 for the set and will last ages!!

Have you found any bargains in the Boots sale?

  2. I found a couple of bargains in the Boots sale. I got some lovely Soap & Glory gift sets at absolutely amazing prices! There were so many great deals in Boots this year but sadly my local Boots was empty even on Boxing Day - so many people had got the bargains earlier than me hehe. But thankfully I found my deals online.
I just posted about some of the bargains I found in the Boxing Day sales, including my Boots buys - would love if you could check it out. :)
