| L'OREAL NUDE MAGIQUE BB BLUSH - £7.99 RRP |

My latest favourite makeup brand is L'Oreal so when I spotted some items on sale in Tesco, I snapped them up without a second thought. One of these bargains was the nude magique bb blush. I've swatched this a few times before in various stores and always thought it was a bit odd but at a price of £2, it had to be worth a shot.

Right so the idea is that it's a gel-like blush in a tube which you can build up to your preferred colour, In the tube, the formula is a clear colour, with just a tiny hint of pink. Then when it comes in contact with the skin, the liquid-gel turns into a pink and tries quickly to leave no trace of residue on the skin at all. It looks very natural and avoids the tell-tale signs that powder blushes leaves, especially in harsh sunlight, which makes it ideal for a summer makeup staple.

The colour is quite a bright pink, and much brighter than i would normally go for in a blusher, but it still manages to look natural. My only hang-up with this product (other than the fact that it is just a bit weird) is that it doesn't seem to last long. It gives a strong colour for a couple of hours and then seems to disappear. Of course this relies on the fact that you can apply it in the first place. I've found that it's tricky to apply on a foundation base without wiping away the lower layers of makeup. I think a dabbing or stippling motion is best, but even with this, I still only get a couple of hours wear.

The jury is still out on this. It's a bit weird but it's a novelty. It's universal and develops into a lovely colour, but then doesn't last for long. I'll definitely be giving this another chance as I think the potential is there, but it's not one of my beauty staples yet...
