| REVLON COLORBURST MATTE BALM IN 240, 'STRIKING' - £7.99 RRP |

It was only a matter of time really before I added to my revlon matte balm collection. To be honest it took this long but just had to happen eventually. If you read my post a few months ago, you'll know that I had a moment of madness in a boots 3-for-2 event and ended up with 6 shades of the newly released revlon matte balms. Luckily, I'm still as much in love today than I was on the purchase date so it was inevitable my collection would grow eventually.

A few weeks ago, kitted out in a new outfit (and a new colour scheme apparently) I had a moment of panic when I realised not a single lip colour I owned actually matched the red in my skirt. The red in question was a bright-orange based poppy red. I normally buy blue-based lip colours which meant that I had nothing anywhere near the right colour. Anyway, I went for a nude lip and told myself I was ever-so-slightly overreacting. It just so happened that a few days later, I ended up in boots again (happens far too often) with a hand covered in lipstick swatches (again, happens far too often) I was on the verge of giving up when I had a brainwave: Revlon! How had I not thought of this before? And there it was, standing on a shelf singing to me. Number 240, 'striking'. A perfect match.

Now, my opinion of the product is pretty identical to the review I wrote in my previous post. I still love it. Lovely moisturising texture, perfect matte finish, and the perfect colour. It's a real retro-shaded red and looks great with white framed sunnies (as I've found out today sitting in the sun, writing this post)

If you haven't tried these yet, I 10000000% recommend you do.

  1. Love the Matte Balms, I have 3 already, but so tempted by all the other shades! This one really suits you!
