Photo Diary: The Family Wedding

Tuesday, 8 July 2014

On the 5th July, we celebrated the wedding of my cousin, Hannah and her fiancĂ© Lee. It was such a beautiful day and evening and, in usual style, we ended up dancing the night away (cue flashback to the macarena and gangnam style!)

I picked up my dress in an evening visit to Primark (this happens far too often!) This dress was sitting in amongst a load of rubbish on the reduced rail and, believe it or not, it was actually my size! So the dress cost me a grand total of £5, yes £5!!! I knew I needed white shoes to finish off the outfit and hunted for months for some plain white courts. Eventually (actually, while laying on a sunbed in front of the pool in gran canaria!) I came across these beauties on dorothyperkins.com. They add the perfect amount of detail to my simple outfit and I finished it all off with a tan clutch and some little white flowers in my hair.

My sister's dress came from missguided and was an absolute steal. I could never get away with a dress like this but it fits her like a glove! Her shoes are from New Look (and were a much more sensible height than my own!)

  2. I love your outfit, can't believe that dress is Primark! The inside of the marquee looks so romantic, looks like a lovely venue for a wedding.
