New Nail Varnish Storage

Saturday, 6 September 2014

I've recently caught the makeup storage bug and have been obsessed with organising my make up and polishes to make them A-prettier to look at and B-easier to find. I'm sure you'll agree that it's impossible to keep track of what you do actually own without physically seeing it. I've lost count of the times I've gone out and bought something only to find I've already had one sitting in a drawer for months. I often find this is the case with nail polish in particular. I tend to go out and buy shades which I already own an identical version of and didn't even realise! Until now, all my nail varnish had been sitting in a box together. I'd go to find a colour and reach for the same ones over and over because the prospect of emptying them all out was not something I could be bothered to even think about. Something just had to be done.

Now, I'm not going to sit here and take all the credit for this masterpiece. Of course, I was the brains behind the idea but I never actually came near to a hammer or a nail (they were used right?!) throughout the whole process. It's just one of those things dad's were made for! I took over for the painting part but the rest was down to him and I couldn't have asked for anything better!

Not only have I ended up with a statement piece of wall art, but now I can see exactly what I've got and, more importantly, what I still need to buy!

What do you think? How do you store your nail polish?

  4. Love it! I've been thinking about the acrylic wall racks but I'd need a bit of wall space as my nail polish collection is rather larger. I love the idea of being able to see all the shades together like this!
