Sleek Blush • Rose Gold

Thursday, 9 October 2014

A fair few months ago I discovered Sleek. I'd seen the brand raved about for it's low prices and high-quality products and finally gave in to see what all the fuss was about. My local super drug don't actually stock the brand so it was online where I placed my first order. Starting small, with a few blushers, I was instantly won over.

One of those approvement-winning blushers was in the shade rose gold. I'd heard a lot about it being a dupe for the oh-so-famous nars orgasm shade within the bloggosphere and wanted to check it out for myself. Although I haven't actually tried the more expensive option, I had high hopes for Sleek's version.

So the shade is a hybrid between a rose and a gold- believe it or not- which changes colour in different lights, it's kind of holographic in that way, and it surprises me that this is one of the shades I chose. It gives a gorgeous shimmer on a tan, but also some pinkness to the cheeks which is ideal.

The formula is pretty good. I much prefer powder blushes to cream and wear this often. It doesn't last all day, I'd say that by the end of a working day, the colour has seriously faded, but it's so pretty while it lasts that I'm happy to let that one slide. Oh and the packaging. Well it's just ideal, small and compact but I love the fact it contains a mirror inside- perfect for touch-ups (which are needed..maybe that's why they include one..)

Overall, I love sleek. I love this blusher and I'm really impressed with this for £4.49. I will definitely be adding some more to my collection. Keep tuned to see the other shade I purchased in the next few weeks...
