MAC Cinderella - Coupe D'Chic £23

In the past year or two, I've become an fully-fledged MAC lover. I think it's one of those blogger things- it comes with the territory. As you'll already be aware, I was eagerly awaiting the release of the Cinderella collection and was refreshing my page every few seconds the morning of the release (playing it cool, i know). just before starting work, I spotted a fellow-mac-lover announce on twitter that the collection was out and raced to the page myself just in time to grab a few bits. It literally was just in time as by the time i text my sister to tell her the news, it was too late.

Anyway, I digress. What I was meaning to boast harp on about was the coupe d'chic powder from this Cinderella collection. It was one of those Should I? Shouldn't I? situations. Normally when faced with this type of dilemma, I tend to end up convincing myself that I in fact Should, and this was no different. I decided I should and so I did. I think the fact that I just knew the collection wouldn't be around for long sealed the fate- what if i changed my mind and decided I wanted one and it was too late? It wasn't even an option, and I'm glad I picked it up when I had the chance.

So at first I thought this was actually more of a blush than a highlighter and I've seen many bloggers use it as a blush on fairer skin. However, it tends to get lost in mine and, being a high-shimmer shade (when i say high-shimmer, i mean full-on glitter, shimmer, sparkle and sequins) it works much better as a highlighter on my skintone. It's a peachy colour in the pan, although this literally turns to shimmer when used- it's not at all what i was expecting but it kinda works. It's also not really an everyday product. I think it'll be perfect for my summer holidays- glistening on a tan in the evenings. It can be used on top of a blusher to add a but more depth, or as a blusher itself for those with lighter skin tones- very versatile but still quite tricky to wear.
