Cocowhite Teeth Whitening

Thursday, 4 June 2015

For the past few weeks I've been trying out the latest craze in teeth whitening- oil pulling. It involves coconut oil which seems to be everywhere at the moment because of it's amazing health benefits. It can be used for cooking, on hair, on the skin and apparently on teeth?

Cocowhite offer a set of 14 sachets (to be used once a day for 2 weeks) containing just coconut oil and some flavouring. The idea is that you squeeze the sachet into your mouth and swish it around for 5-15 mins before spitting it out and revealing whiter teeth. I've tried it for the whole two weeks and am seriously impressed. I tried to get a before-after photo to show the difference but it's hard to see how they've changed on camera but trust me, there is definitely a difference. The yellow tint they previously had has almost gone and they have definitely got brighter and look much cleaner.

The sachets come in mint, lemon and vanilla- all of which I actually liked by the end of the course. The texture of the oil itself is definitely something to get used to. It takes a couple of days to get familiar with how long to swish and which flavour is your favourite, but by the end of the 2 weeks, it became part of my routine and I was excited to see the change everyday.

As it's completely natural, there's no damage to your teeth and it can be used as often as liked. I've actually just put in my second order to hopefully get them that little bit whiter.

  1. I definitely need to try this! It's much better seeing an actual normal person reviewing this rather than a celeb with obviously bleached teeth doing so all over Instagram x
