Autumn Homeware Haul

Wednesday, 21 October 2015

I've got my heart set on moving out next year which means I've become ever so slightly more obsessed with homeware recently. I tend to just grab pieces when I see them, but there's definitely a clear theme going on here. I'm really into the whole clean whites/golds and rose golds at the moment- a change to my usual shabby chic taste, but one thats still so versatile. I love clutter and loads of home accessories to keep things looking homely.
Firstly, I picked up the scrabble magnets above from Tiger. I think they were either £2 or £3 for the set. I just love the look of these, and the words they spell out as well are spot on. These will look fab on a fridge. I also got a rose gold photo frame. Pretty unexciting but a lovely colour, this came in at £3 i think. Then the two baskets below also came from Tiger as well for £3 each. Originally I picked up the gold but as soon as I found out they sold the same in rose gold, I had to go back and get another. I literally have no idea what I can really use these for as most things are gonna fall straight through so if you have any bright ideas, please let me know!

I then took a trip to the Next Sale a few weeks ago. I always tend to have a look around their sales as, although you have to be prepared for some pushing and shoving by some literally physco shoppers, you can normally find a few pieces worth the pain. The bowl above was £3.50 and the marble frame below came out at just £6. It's real marble and is so heavy, but is so stunning and easily fits in with the whole blogger-marble-craze at the moment.
The final piece (and possibly my favourite) is this jar from Matalan filled with fairy lights. I've tried a few times to replicate a similar setup at home with large jars and glass vases but I've never seen something this this, ready made before. It was in the Christmas section of the homeware but it's definitely going to be staying out all year- how could i possibly put it away?! This came in at just £4- yup, £4!! I couldn't believe my luck when I saw the price tag and kinda wish I'd picked up a couple..y'know, just in case.

What do you think of my homeware picks?

  1. These are such nice buys! We're always looking for dainty and minimal pieces to add to our rooms - sometimes the simplest homeware bits are the best :)

  2. I stocked up on a tonne of stuff before I moved out last year! The actual move itself is so expensive so it really helps to have your decorations pre-bought! Good luck with finding somewhere.
