A MAC Haul

Sunday, 6 March 2016

Okay so I may have lost control. Just a little bit. Just for a second. Or two. I seem to have problems when it comes to visiting a MAC stocked store. We don't have a stockist in my home town so everytime I go within inches of a store, I have to take full advantage. Well, it would be rude not to, right?

I always head straight for the lipsticks. I think it's most girls' destination of choice as its always the most crowded area. I tend to hover for a few minutes until someone shifts a little and creates a point of entry. That's when I make my move, lunging in to grab whichever shade catches my eye first. Most of the time, after deciding this is "the one" I tend to realise that it's a shade I actually already own and haven't worn since summer last year- it's always a good idea at the time, but you always end up relying on your favourites at the end of the day.

Anyway, this visit actually resulting in finding a few shades I fell in love with and don't already own. Just 1 or 2... Okay 5, I bought 5!! Like I said, I may have slightly lost control, but it's all good. The shades I chose are (from Top To Bottom):

Mehr- a browny-pink matte which is just the perfect everyday colour.

Angel- a pale pink frost which is my all-time favourite MAC shade. I wear this so often and absolutely love both the colour and the finish on this one. This will be my third bullet of Angel.

Mocha- a peachy-brown satin. This is a lovely warm light brown and a shade I can see being very versatile.

Velvet Teddy- a deep beige matte. This one needs no introduction or explanation- probably the most famous MAC shade in the past few years and yes, its taken years for me to pick one up.

Aim to Please- a dirty mauve, similar to Mehr but less pink. This is actually one of the Velvetease lip pencils and is leaves a matte finish, but seems to be more moisturing than the lipsticks (which are well known to be quite drying) I'm not sure if these are new but I haven't seen them before?
So I'm really into browny nudes at the moment.. Can you tell? They just seem to work with any look meaning you can get as much wear as possible. When I'm buying a lipstick, I tend to stick with shades I know I'll reach for (especially when spending £15 at a time). I can't wait to add these to my collection..

What are your favourite MAC shades?
