Spa Afternoon from Jadu Tea

Wednesday, 2 March 2016

You can't get more British than a good old cup of tea. It brings people together, spreads gossip and I'm pretty sure it's been known to solve worldwide disasters. Always one to go against the grain, I myself, haven't always been a tea lover- I honestly believe if green and herbal teas hadn't become as available as they are now, I would never have gone near the stuff (controversial, I know) but I love how diverse tea has become over the past few years (maybe not a sentence I ever thought I'd use..) and, as a selectively-devoted tea drinker, I was excited to see what JADU TEA had to offer.

I'm gonna jump straight to it- I was impressed. Even before I had tasted a single tea leaf, it was clear this was pretty luxury stuff. I mean the box was covered in Suede for goodness sakes! The loose tea itself was tied with a gold bow to match the logo embossed on the  box which I thought was such a lovely touch. It would be absolutely ideal as a present (to yourself? - as if we need a reason!) and you can just tell it's going to last for ages because there's so much in there.

This really is a bit of luxury, and you can totally taste that it's not just a box off the supermarket shelf. The box I received is Spa Afternoon and its herbal but subtle containing

"Speamint, Chinese Ti Guan Yin oolong tea, Nettle, Dandelion, Burdock, Milk Thistle"

I love fruit and herbal teas and I've tried my fair share of different versions, but nothing has tasted like this. There's a sense of delicacy which is so unusual- a cup of this doesn't last long around me!

JADU TEA have a wide range of different options so there's bound to be a tea to suit every tastebud. Now I'm off to make a brew...
